I feel like I now have a good idea of what my chieftains look like. I thought I would upload the roughs first before I go any further in case I'm missing something important with their designs. (The left chieftain is missing his headwear in this design).
Let me know what you think!

More Refined Chieftain Thumbnails (Feedback Appreciated)
I feel that 6 (chieftain b) and 7 (chieftain a) are quite strong and are very close to what I want in these characters. Let me know what you think!
Further Chieftain A (brawn) thumbnails
Some of these feel like dead ends in terms of development, but I feel like I may be getting closer to what I want from chieftain A.
More Chieftain Thumbnails
After Phil's comments from the OGR I am continuing to design my chieftain, but thinking more about stereotyping, making it cartoonish/exaggerated and polar opposites between the two chieftains.

Autodesk Sketchbook Pro - Another quick test
Drew this using the symmetry tool in sketchbook as a warm-up before I start some character thumbnails using the same method. I thought I would upload it as I'm quite pleased with it.

Autodesk Sketchbook Pro - Introduction
I may have gone a little crazy with the mirror tool in Sketchbook. A doodle that got a little out of control. Nevertheless I am really enjoying this program and I can see how useful it will be for character design.
