@Alan Major Project - Lighting Tests 01

I've been working on lighting the scenes and tweaking texture maps where necessary. This is the progress so far on the first 10 shots. The shadows still need a bit of work but I think the brightness and vibrancy of the shots are very close to what I want. I would appreciate any feedback on lighting issues I may not be seeing.

  1. Jack - I'm a little confused by your renders. Shot 10 for example has no shadows? Shot 2 (and many others) has no ambient occlusion. Can you take a screen capture of the ambient occlusion settings for shot 2 and a screen capture of the placement of lights in shot and their settings. Finally make sure the Maya grid is in a screen capture (wireframe) of one of your sets (shot 10?) so I can see what the scene scale is.

    In all scenes you should see dark areas where objects meet (wall and floor for example) driven by the ambient occlusion. You should also see shadows no matter whether you are inside or outside.
